Pewag Profilift Alpha PLAW
PLAW lifting points have a factor of safety of 4:1 against breakage in all directions within the 130° load range. Each lifting point is marked during manufacture with an individual serial number which gives full product traceability. The PLAW range is available with metric or UNC thread options and can also be supplied with long or custom thread lengths in metric form. Each lifting point is supplied packed with a User Manual which includes load tables for the various applications of use.
Ensure that the PLAW load capacity is in accordance with the inspection certificate, the loads are within the permissible direction of pull (fig 1) and also within the WLL stated in the tables supplied.
Non permissible usage
Ensure that the PLAW can not be subjected to improper loading due to:
• the direction of pull being obstructed
• incorrect direction of pull on the ring (fig 2)
• load ring resting against edges or load (fig 3)
The load ring must be positioned in the direction of pull before loading – do not turn under load.
To calculate special thread lengths (L):
L= H + S + K + X
H = Material thickness
S = Washer thickness
K = Depth of nut
X = Thread protrusion through nut (twice thread pitch)
NOTE: Maximum length “L” can not exceed “n max.” as indicated in dimensions table below.
